U.S. start withdrawal from Western Europe, 7,000 combat troops will return home.

Defence Secretary Leon Panetta announced the withdrawal of 7,000 U.S. combat troops from Western Europe , as part of the Obama measures to reduce military spending.
According to that two combat brigades will be replaced with rotational units to ensure NATO allies a continued strong military presence in Europe. said Panetta.
Around 80,000 US military personnel are currently located in different military bases around Europe, most of them in Germany.
