Possible Free Trade Agreement between Mexico and Brazil.

Presidents Felipe Calderón of Mexico, and Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, announced last wednesday the start of a process towards economic integration between the two nations, maybe a free trade agreement.  In a joint press conference in Playa del Carmen, the Mexican president said that the objectives are the promotion of economic growth, strengthening competitiveness and creating more jobs. According to Calderon, the two countries began a new stage and a  “strong and solid”
relationship. He mentioned that Mexico and Brazil are not adversaries, on the contrary. “From the time of President (Vicente) Fox, I have been saying this, Mexico has to look to South America (…) the world is round, the world is not square,” said the Brazilian President Lula.
